Condolences for the Victims of the Earthquake in Haiti

On Tuesday, 12 January 2009, Haiti was struck by a devastating earthquake which caused severe damages in terms of human lives, public infrastructure and private property, around the capital city, Port au Prince. The UN-GAID Community shares its grief with the people of Haiti and also mourns the loss of UN staff in this terrible disaster.
