General Procedure for joining an existing COE/FPI

Flagship Partnership Initiatives (FPIs) have been formed under the umbrella of the Global Alliance to undertake multi-stakeholder activities leveraging joint resources and spurring visible action toward attaining its objectives across the GAID focus areas.

Thematic Communities of Expertise (CoEs) bring together motivated and capable actors to address specific, well-defined ICTD problems in a results-oriented manner and to identify and disseminate good practice.

GAID COEs and FPIs are multi-stakeholder initiatives collaborating to achieve common goals that no stakeholder group could realize on its own. Please see Criteria to assist the selection and monitoring of the ongoing contribution of Communities of Expertise and Modalities of organizing the work of UN GAID.
