The special event "The United Nations Meets the Silicon Valley" was held on 28 February 2007 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, attracting approximately 225 participants.

The event consisted of: (I) an opening session featuring high-level speakers; (II) three panel discussions on overlap of interests between the United Nations and Silicon Valley communities and three corresponding parallel action session break-outs; and (III) a closing session on key learnings and next steps.
