1. Train teachers to integrate technology into classrooms
Computers aren't magic, teachers are. Putting the right technology tools and teacher training in place now will help the next generation learn skills required in today's global knowledge economy.
This paper suggests that the Community of Experts (CoE) could advocate for the more efficient and effective use of ICTs by focusing on certain key challenges and on knowledge exchange. This would support the overall work of the Global Alliance, support the strengthening of education systems, and ultimately, assist developing countries.
Achieve Universal Primary Education is one of the main development objectives. The Dakar Framework of Action for Education for All (EFA), adopted in 2000 as a roadmap to meet the Education for All goals by 2015, highlights the role that Information and communication technologies (ICT) has to support EFA goals at an affordable cost. ICTs have great potential for knowledge dissemination, effective learning and the development of more efficient education services.
