Note on Logistics

Participation

The inaugural meeting of GAID is open to all Member States of the United Nations and of any Specialized Agency, the United Nations organizations, specialized agencies and to registered non-governmental stakeholders - civil society, the private sector, international organizations, media, academia, youth, women's groups and others.

Registration and accreditation

On-site registration

Registration for the meeting and hotel accommodation will be in the JOHAR Room located in Level 1. For identification purposes, please present an official photo identity document (e.g. passport or driving license).
The registration schedule is as follows:

17 - 19 June 2006 09.00 to 18.00
20 June 2006 09.00 to 15.00

Those who are not pre-registered will be asked to fill in the registration form and to produce documentary evidence of their employment (name of Administration or provisionally accredited entity/organization they are representing and its address).

Badges will be issued in different colours to better identify the various categories of participants, i.e., GAID secretariat, International, Local, Media, Medical, Security and Exhibitor.

Press

Accreditation is required in order to obtain a press badge and, as appropriate, for admission to the meeting. For press accreditation procedures, as well as press information on the meeting, please contact Enrica Murmura at murmura AT un DOT org.

Exhibit

The exhibit area will be located in the SABAH Room in Level 1.

Working visit to MIMOS and multi-media Super Corridor

Participants will be picked up in front of the Hotel at 09:00am.
There will be a sightseeing tour of Putrajaya for about half an hour, followed by a visit to Cyberjaya. Lunch will be provided by MIMOS at mid-day. Participants will be driven back to the Hotel.
